Owner-operators and small businesses operating trucks, buses or construction equipment are constantly looking for ways to take control of the costs associated with maintaining their equipment.  One of the largest maintenance expenses is tire replacement costs.  To extend the life of their tires, fleets should always have a clear maintenance policy in place to specify the maintenance practices they want followed.  This policy should be specific to their vehicles, equipment, geography, distance they travel, loads they carry, time on the road and other pertinent factors. It should also cover the specifics of new tires entering their fleet. Incorporating a tire program into the overall operation can help maximize their investment and assets. Tire programs can help fleets concentrate on their core business while having a dedicated program in place to eliminate the guess work of obtaining new tires.

We are members of this program. A few years ago we picked up a chain link in one of our wide base singles and it slowly started losing air in the tire. The tire pressure monitoring system warned us in plenty of time to get to a safe area to get our tire changed. As can be expected this happened about two in the morning not near a town and with no internet service. We called our Michelin Advantage number and within a short period of time we had a repair truck at our side. No problems and it worked our great.
