For the past several years the Trucking Solutions Group (TSG) has had a Drivers Health Walk and the American Red Cross blood drive.  This year the TSG will have a representative for a Bone Marrow registry to sign up potential donors.

The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Friday and Saturday on a first come first serve basis.  The Bone Marrow registry is also located in the American Red Cross Blood drive booth and will be held all three days.  Please stop by the booth to see if you can be a potential bone marrow donor and find out why is so important to register.

On all three days at 2:00 Henry, Bob, and I will be at the TA/Petro booth talking with Homer Hogg about the Citizen Driver award and answering questions.

On Saturday morning at 9:00 will be the Trucking Solutions Group Driver Health Walk.  This year we will be walking over to where President John Kennedy was assassinated and back to the convention center.  This destination walk is a little over a mile.  More information about the walk can be found at the American Red Cross booth or at the TA/Petro booth.

Another fun event is the Women in Trucking  "I Love Trucking" reception held Friday evening at 5:00; there will be goody bags for attendees.  Men and Women are welcome at this event; stop by the Women in Trucking booth for more details.

Our new Cascadia Evolution will also be attending the show and will be in the Bolt Custom Truck Booth.  The new Caffcadia was built in Cleveland, NC on June 25th and GATS will be the second show the truck has attended.  Stop by and see our new truck and see if you can find the ten hidden Mickey's in the sleeper.

We will spend most of our time at the Freightliner Booth in the Team Run Smart area talking to drivers about the web site and benefits of being a Team Run Smart member.  Please stop by and say Hi!

Bob and Linda started their driver careers after their children left home for college in 2000. Bob started as a driver for a large motor carrier with Linda as a rider. They decided to enter the Expedite industry as team drivers in 2005 and purchased their first Freightliner. Both, Bob and Linda have had their Class A licenses since the early 80's starting out driving in the oil field and hauling grain as fill in drivers where Bob worked as a diesel mechanic. Linda worked at the local country courthouse in data processing.

15 Mickeys is what I heard. Upon Inspection of said Vehicle , I could only find 10. Someone must have x-ray vision here, and it certainly isn't me.

Bob and Linda,
That has to be quite an amazing feeling to be running down the highway in your brand new truck! Learning what it can do and all the new features. I can't wait to see it some day. I hope everyone that attends GATS has a great time, learns a lot and makes a lot of great networking connections. Wish I could be there but I'll be up in Washington working a wildfire.

We have started moving our new truck towards Dallas... We picked the Cascadia up in Fort Wayne on the 15th then stopping by the house to pick up suit cases and a few other things then we will be heading for Dallas on Sunday. Monday the truck has an appointment to have an aero device added to the box. Tuesday the truck goes into the show. This truck is going to be a work horse that looks good as a show truck. The truck was born on June 25th and has all ready been featured at two shows. Stop by and find the TEN hidden Mickey's.
