The NutriBullet is a fantastic way to help stay healthy on the road.  They retail for around $90.  It's a small, but very powerful blender that can easily pack away and has a minimum of attachments.  You can just pack what you need on the truck and leave the extra cups and blade attachments at home.

I've found that I can buy produce that is reasonably priced and get a two week supply of very nutritious drinks.  I visited my local grocery store and purchased a bag of washed spinach, a bag of apples, oranges and tangerines all for around $12.  This lasted me for about 2 weeks.  The more tastier fruits; blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc are great for making Nutri Blasts but they are also more costly.  I also like to sprinkle in a little protein powder and sliced almonds or walnuts.

Try to minimize the fruit as the natural sugars can cause your blood sugar to spike.  Let the spinach, kale or other leafy green be the centerpiece of the drink and add the fruits sparingly to make it taste better.

Here's what you need for the truck:

  • Small cutting board
  • Sharp Knife
  • NutriBullet
  • Power source
  • Water for cleaning up and adding to the Nutri Blast
  • Fruit and vegetables for making drinks

If you don't have a fridge in your truck: No problem.  You can buy items that don't need refrigeration.  Most of the larger fruit; apples, oranges, etc don't require refrigeration.  Unfortunately, green leafy vegetables require refrigeration so if you don't have one on the truck, there are still a few other options. There are products on the market like barleygreen powder that can be added as a part of a Nutri Blast in place of fresh vegetables. V8 vegetable juice can be added and diluted with water as part of nutritious drink as well.
