On Wednesday, I was loading in Laredo, TX when I met a man named, Pete Affolter. He was parked beside me in his light blue 1998 model Freightliner Century. Pete was estatic as he explained to me how much money his truck has made him over the years. He bought the truck used at Freightliner Select Trucks in Ohio, with only 450,000 miles on it. Today, he has over 1.7 million miles on his odometer and is happy as can be with his truck. The engine is a Reli-Built with 1.2 million miles and the transmission was rebuilt at the same time the engine was installed. The rear axle’s are all original and other than a charge air cooler replacement, it has needed only minor repairs.” He told me over and over again that he would have had a hard time being so successful without his trusty Century Class Freightliner. Needless, to say… Pete is one happy Freightliner customer”.
