Our truck is often rolling down the road 24 hours a day, only stopping for fuel and the new mandatory rest breaks. Our operation almost always requires one of us to be helping or watching our truck while being loaded or unloaded. Getting out and walking at these locations is highly discouraged or completely banned.
The heat during this time of year often discourages us from going outside to workout or to even walk very far. Walking from the truck into the truck stop is enough to cause us to break into a sweat. With the FIT system we can exercise in the comfort of our cab, which encourages us to exercise more often.
The In-Cab Stay Fit system works perfect in the above situations. We can quickly snap the bands into the rings and workout. While the truck is being loaded or even while fueling we can follow the instructions for all of the standing exercised. Before going to bed or when we get up in the morning we run through the seated exercises.
There are some exercises where I use one band and then will quickly add another band or even two more bands. The bands are easy to snap into place or to remove. The guidebook gives ideas of several different exercised and the web site gives many more.
The FIT system comes with 10lbs up to 40lbs of resistance per handle, and can be upgraded to 150lbs of resistance per handle. With the purchase of the FIT system we have access to the FIT Channel on the Rolling Strong web site.
The Rolling Strong web site has a tab for Audio/Video that has ideas about how to eat right and how to make good choices. My favorite part of the web site is that it is all about drivers and how drivers can stay healthy while staying out on the road for extended periods of time.
Bob and I have known Bob Perry for quite awhile and his passion for this industry and for drivers always is at the foremost in his mind. Bob will be at many of the upcoming shows and it is well worth your time to stop by and meet Bob in person.
We have found the Stay Fit system to work extremely well in our truck and in our schedule. The equipment takes up very little room and is quick to hook up and get started exercising.
To learn more about the FIT system visit the Rolling Strong web site and while there see what all in available for free on the Audio/Video channel.
