I had a hard time getting to the Mid-West Truck Show in 2011 but it was worth the effort.
I’ve arrived in Peoria, Illinois to attend the 51st Annual Mid-West Truck Show and Convention. The show will be held on February 1st and 2nd inside the Civic Center which is located on 201 Southwest Jefferson Street.
In 2011, I attended this show and experienced a difficult time getting to Peoria due to a snow storm. The temperatures were low and it was extremely cold. Yesterday, upon my arrival, it was a surprising 60 degree’s. However, today the temperatures fell dramatically and now it feels more like I’m in the Mid-West. I thoroughly enjoyed the show back in 2011 as once inside the Civic Center, I was warmly welcomed from this community and had the pleasure of meeting many new people.
This year’s 2013 event includes the latest equipment and offers various business seminars featuring expert speakers. Also, a fun event not to be missed is the 18 wheeler tractor trailer pinewood derby. The Mid-West Trucking Association represents and services 3,000 members in 15 states. The membership includes trucking companies and companies that operate trucks as part of their business.
I’ll have the new 2013 Freightliner Cascadia Evolution and trailer on display. Please stop by and take an up close look at this new technologically advanced truck with its Detroit DD15 engine backed up by the all new Detroit DT12 AMT Transmission. I look forward to sharing my experiences over the road and discussing the outstanding fuel mileage this truck has obtained.
Hope to see you there!
