For all of the new members that signed up this weekend, welcome to the community and thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit us at the Great American Truck Show (GATS) this past weekend! As a Team Run Smart Pro representing Freightliner’s Team Run Smart, it was an exciting show where I got to meet a lot of great people from within the trucking industry. I was very excited to see how many drivers out there were truly interested in bettering themselves in all aspects of their life in relation to our pillars of success. With all the shining chrome and custom paint, we should not forget as trucking industry professionals and enthusiasts, that this is a great place to network and build relationships within our industry.
I was very happy to see a lot more drivers becoming more interested in the “Health Smart” pillar of our community in my efforts to help sign up new members at the show. One particular 
new member I met (you know who you are) was rightfully very proud of his improved lifestyle and health as a result of his losing over 100 pounds and making an effort every day to get in a good amount of exercise. He was able to purchase a FIT system from Bob Perry at the show and plans to use it in his continued efforts towards improving his lifestyle through making “Health Smart” choices in his life as a driver on the road! 
Congratulations to this new friend of mine and I wish you continued success in your goals of losing more weight and using our web community as a source of information to do so.
There were a lot of great trucks on display down in the Pride and Polish area and a special congratulations goes out to Team Caffee of the Team Run Smart Pros for their award for interior! The work that they have done on the inside of the truck (and outside) make it one standout ride in the world of functional working trucks! Their meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness are second to none and this proves it.
With all the fun to be had at these shows, it can be easy to lose track of the main reason these shows exist. These shows are a place where like-minded individuals from within the trucking industry can gather to see all of the latest and greatest products, where they can network with one another, and where they can look for ways to become more successful in what they do. Being at GATS working in the Team Run Smart booth and actually having drivers approach me, letting me know that I have helped them with some of my online advice really makes it a very special experience to me. I enjoy
the networking part of these 
shows and meeting new faces out there trying to earn a living the same way I do every day in my own truck. To all the existing members of Team Run Smart, thank you for being a part of the best web community out there and I hope I get to meet you at a show sometime in the future as well. To all the new members who have just signed up at GATS, thank you for taking the time to stop by and see us and welcome! I hope you enjoyed this year’s GATS just as much as I did!
