Halloween or Hallowe'en (/ˌhæləˈwiːn, -oʊˈiːn, ˌhɑːl-/; a contraction of "All Hallows' Evening"), also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day.

October is usually a month of change as the weather gets colder, leaves start falling off of the trees and I start watching the weather a lot closer. Personally I really enjoy the smells of fall and the sound of leaves as they drift scratching their way across roads. Besides all of the sounds and smells the colors of the trees can often take your breath away.
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays with the carved pumpkins, the decorations, the fun pranks, and costumes. Now not being home I have to settle for wearing Halloween earrings each day of the month and decorating the truck.
While on vacation this month the girls and I bravely conquered a corn maze in the rain. We had to find the farmers six lost animals and with a lot of laughter, getting lost, and being goofy we finally found all of the animals.

I think Patricia enjoys halloween even more then I do! Her picture out of the windshield of her truck is great and spooky.
In the past when we have stayed out all month I have carved a small pumpkin that sits on the counter in the truck. Due to taking a vacation in the middle in October I did not get this done. I have a grand assortment of fun Halloween movies including "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and others in the same class. I do not enjoy horror movies and we do not carry any of them with us in the truck.
In October we see fields of Pumpkins and some corn mazes. The best though is seeing the decorated houses. Some people have the greatest imagination and their houses reflect the fun they have with this holiday. My favorite is the homemade decorations that include huge cobwebs. I wish there was someway to tell them thank you.
Bob drives the evening shift and if he is driving Halloween night he will be watching for pumpkins thrown from overpasses. He will also be watching for other pranks
that are played this night that can have deadly results. Usually we prefer to stay parked on all hallows eve.
