Decorating the Cascadia is a must and I add a few of my Christmas treasures to our Bolt Custom Sleeper.  It is fun to change the air freshener to a Christmas Scent so it smells like Christmas every time we get in the truck.  I do not use the sugar cookie scent or anything to do with cooking as it makes me hungry.

A few years ago I bought the multi colored Christmas lights to go around the ceiling to add a little to decorations.  While some like the more subtle and elegant look I go for lots of color!  At home we have the most amazing nativity scene that my mother in law made in 1978 and then I made sets for both of my girls.  The nativity set is not in the truck as they are ceramic but they are always in my mind.

Over the years I have purchased Christmas Music on my iPhone and what a great way to start the day when the stars and moor are out and I am listening to Silent Night while driving.  I get pretty excited when I come upon Christmas lights that have been left on all night as I really enjoy seeing the decorations.  A few years ago we were able to go through a childhood favorite of mine in Tucson, AZ, Winterhaven with my best friend from high school and her family.  I was on light over load!  One thing I did notice the houses were not as big as I remembered..

During the month of December I enjoy giving random bits of kindness, leaving a bigger tip on the table, leaving a tip in the showers, or anywhere else I see I can do that is random and where the recipient will not know where the gift came from.  I also enjoy sending out Christmas Cards as I like the looks of them and that they are real.

I get nostalgic during the month of December and  think of family members that have passed on and that I still miss greatly.  I think back to Christmas's where we were still all together and the fun we had and I want to carry on the tradition with my family.  Most of the family still thinks I am a little goofy about the season but that is fine as I enjoy this time of year and I love the music.  It is a great time of year to reflect and realize how wonderful life is.

The decorations in the truck are random and they bring a smile to my face.  We are not home long enough to really decorate as I used to when the decorations would be up for about five weeks.  Now only my favorites come out and also lights on timers.  Coming down the stairs to a Christmas lit living room reminds me of when I was a child and I would hide behind the tree so I could be close to the lights, the tree, and the ornaments.  I do not hide behind Christmas trees anymore but I sure like having my morning coffee and look at the twinkling lights and scenery outside of our windows while at home.

I hope you decorate your truck as well and reflect in the reason for the season.

I agree Linda. I also enjoy the Christmas lights that folks leave on well after midnight. Brightens up my night shift driving.
